They have added the cover over the kids play area and upgraded the flooring. Loving it. Will be here more often. Just their service is a little slow.

What a great spur, staff are so friendly and the kids play area keeps the kids busy. Truly had a lovely supper here with my t-bone steak being perfect medium rare.

We had the best breakfast we have ever had at any Spur yesterday at Alaska Spur. Mbongeni the Operator Dudu the Manager And our waitress was Nothile. It is a very large Spur with wheelchair access and quite busy for the breakfast service. The ambience is calm and relaxed. They are in the process of revamping their children's play area. Watch this space it is going to be very big.

The waiter staff are excellent and love the new decor. A pity that my Chicken Schnitzel was tough and a bit dry this I can only put down to being over cooked but it was edible. The onion rings and chips were perfection. My daughters Chicken nuggets and chips were outstanding. This is the second time my schnitzel was not as it used to be juicy and succulent but I did ask the waitress to point this out to the line chef so I hope next time it will be up to par.

I helped a Care Center (Manger Care Center) in Benoni 2019 with their year end function for the fundraisers and management just to say thanks for their hard work. I spoke to Tania the store manager and explained everything to her and what we require for the function and if they can do it as a donation. After a week she came back to me and gave me the good news, that they will do everything for us at no cost what so ever. They helped with Spur burgers, chips and onion rings with two large soda's for us. As a team they really enjoyed everything and relaxed for a bit. The burgers and everything was grilled to perfection and the service excellent from her great team. It makes one think that in tough times, that the Spur Group always open their hearts and helps the needy people in their local community. Once again i will recommend them for any function or just for a relaxed evening out with family and or friends. They treat you like a king. Spur Group thanks a lot for the function and receiving us with open arms. Keep up the good work as well as your friendly staff. love and regards.

Seeing that we don't frequent the typical family restaurants anymore, I was pleasantly surprised with the food, level of service and atmosphere. All the food we ordered were tasty and well prepared. The portions were generous and I could hardly finish my main meal after my starter. As it is a family restaurant the noise could be a problem when looking for a quiet night out. We were there for a function, the vibe was contagious and we ended up joining in with all the celebrations.

Although nothing special with the menu the staff are great and makes your experience pleasant. One of the few places where your steak is prepared to the way you want it.
