I hadn’t been a Spur fan for a while, but I decided to give it another try today—and I was genuinely impressed. The ribs were incredibly soft, tender, and easily some of the best I’ve had in a long time. Really enjoyed the meal and I’ll definitely be back again.

Beautiful Renovation, Disappointing Customer Service I recently visited Spur at West Coast Village. The restaurant has been beautifully renovated and offers a very pleasant atmosphere. We were attended to by Mbali, who was courteous and friendly. Unfortunately, the overall service experience was disappointing, as she appeared to be more engaged in conversation with a colleague than attentive to customers. Although our drinks and meals were delivered, we subsequently struggled to receive further assistance and eventually had to wave over a gentleman in a red shirt, whom I assume was the manager. Rather than personally attending to our table, he proceeded to the till and asked Mbali, who was in the kitchen conversing with colleagues, to assist us. The manager’s response unfortunately gave the impression that this standard of service may be tolerated rather than proactively addressed. Good customer service should ensure that guests feel acknowledged and well attended to, particularly following such an impressive renovation of the restaurant. I hope greater emphasis will be placed on delivering a more customer-focused experience in future. Regrettably, based on this experience, I would not choose to return.
