We chose to celebrate my daughters 5th birthday here. Pleasantly surpriseed by the amazing service from Asive Nzimela. This was the best service I have received from a Spur staff member in years. She was friendly, provided amazing service for our table of 20. She definately deserves recognition for her flawless delivery of great service and customer satisfaction.

Lovely stuff, from waiters to Managers. Mr Vuyo is my personal favourite. This Spur never disappoints.

Generally good experience here, very popular for kids birthdays. Service is good, food is good. Can get quite busy during lunch over weekends especially during birthday season.

Great service friendly staff wonderful indoor and outdoor play area and of course the food is always perfect. Definitely enjoy going to the San Miguel Spur. Went there for my daughters birthday must say big thank you to our awesome waiter we had.. Well done Themba for being such an excellent waiter to us!

I’m reviewing this only for people who don’t know what the South African phenomenon called “The Spur” is. Each of them is given a nonsensical red indian tribal name not at all linked to the food but...

He had to show me where he always goes to play after his doctor's appointment. Once we were seated my grandson ordered fish fingers and smileys and of course a milkshake. I decided on a Rib Burger and my daugther inlaw had Buffalo Wings. When he finished his meal, he couldn't wait for his mum to take him to play. When my son arrived he had a calamari starter and Chicken Schnitzels. Clearly his favourite at this restaurant. I sat with him while he enjoyed his food and then ordered half portions of 1 x cheesecake and 1 x peppermint tart. Separate because I wanted the icecream and cream. I thoroughly enjoyed the peppermint tart which I thought was very good. My daughterinlaw and I shared the cheesecake i.e. after she had worked up an appetite, having to go here, then there, in the Children's Play area. The cheesecake was my ultimate and I said I will drive here again especially for the cheesecake.

We went for an unreal breakfast with real people. Despite the fact that Spur restaurants in general seem to be quieter, you still get the same good service with the same good food.

Always go to this Spur with my young god-child. The restaurant caters well for kids, food is good, well priced and service is pretty good.

The staff at this Spur are efficient and friendly. We were seated immediately as it was late afternoon but know the Monday night special evenings can become very busy so go early. We went for the special of a standard burger served with chips, baked potato or butternut and spinach for the low price of R 55. The burgers arrived quickly and the food was warm and well presented. After this we opted for the Spur waffles which are served with cream or ice cream for just under R 20 each! The waffles were crispy on the outside, warm and soft on the inside as it should be. I did ask for the real squeeze bottle maple syrup as the syrup provided was too thin and runny in consistency. Now these prices are real economy price busters so make use of this waffle offer as it’s for a limited time period. Overall a great Monday night quick and inexpensive meal out with the kids.
