Spur

We generally try and stay clear of spur these days. We live in Gauteng and something as basic as a hamburger is fudged up by the spur's here. I went down to PE for a business trip and on the way back to Gauteng stopped over in cradock. I had a cheese burger and a beer. The service was excellent. The food even better. Everything fresh. The bread roll was freshly backed and not stale like the gauteng spurs. Seems like the rural spurs still make good food whereas the metro focus on bums in seats and turning numbers. Maybe to do with high rentals? We love (loved) spur but don't go as much these days. Maybe we need to re look at it and just take a drive out of town to the smaller towns for the old authentic spur experience. Pity cradock is so far. To the People at the Cradock spur I want to say: well done and keep doing what you are doing. You guys Rock!!

Fantastic experience. Loved it!!!

What a lovely place. Friendly people. Today they celebrate their 1st Birthday. A definite must stop on your way to PE or back home. Play area for kids. Just enough for them to stretch those legs.

In a town which is falling apart, this is a welcome retreat! Newly build and well run.

This place makes you forget that south Africa has problems. The staff, the atmosphere and the home vibe. Miguel you're a Star. Keep up the service and smiles.

Great atmosphere and the food was terrific. The waiters were friendly and the spur itself looks amazing. We had schnitchels , Ribs and steak.

Baie geluk met julle opening. Ons het heerlik geëet Woensdagaand. Ons steak was perfek gaar gemaak en sappig en sag. Diens was vinnig en personeel vriendelik. Hoop dat die aircons met ons volgende besoek darem al sal werk.
