No only because the operator /owner/manager. The pov we experienced now 17h30 till 20h00.Absolutely disgusted me and my 2 kids.let me start at the beginning.. We were 2 moms in the bathroom discussing the state of it.. And Lee opened door and looked it probaly to "check" but immediately ask us if we OK.. I was thrown aback a bit as he is a male and this was a female bathroom . But we continued to tell him about the state of the bathroom dirty no toilet paper etc and the fact that the handwash was either pure jik/bleach or mixed.. Then he said it can't be but he did remove it to "investigate" I left the bathroom. My table was the 1st one away from the bathrooms. Lee called the waiter that apparently I charge of that session and totally went off on her.. But what irritates me is that he didn't pull her away he made sure to reprimand her right next to our table making sure he mentioned it was me complaining.. Whilst doing that he said "wait there was another lady" and went to find that lady and started the same attacking attitude near said ladies table..now if you don't have an office fine but what Lee did was intentional which did not sit well with me at all. He futher went around just "discussing" the situation with a few staff. The poor waiter in charge of the section came to apologize so many times to us.. Yes Kool but his attitude was enough for me to never return. Also when the waiter in charge of section showed him cleaning rooster he just was laughing and walked away from her showing the "John Cena" sign.. Yes I saw it all.. Then when the apperant manager went to the waiter spoke few words and also walked away mid convo showing the same john Cena sign to Lee joined him right in front our table laughing and clearly making fool of said waitress I was just done. Now don't get me wrong what they know and what I see/assume might not align with their policies but to act a fool like that and me watching everything and how it came across was so disappointing disturbing disrespectful and so uncalled for... I may be sensitive but from what I saw that speaks volumes and that is borderline abuse.. If that is how the staff is being treat.. I cannot support that and I hope nobody else has to experience that as the staff or as the patrons of said establishment. I would of pulled out my camera but I was really so upset angry and disgusted. LEE DO BETTER!!!!

Positive review - Iowa Spur (Mr Khol manager) Dear Spur & Customer Service, People are quick to give bad reviews but seldom give positive reviews when its needed. After having a bad experience at Iowa Spur (Address: Shop 1, Soneike Shopping Centre, Amandel Rd, Kuils River) on Sunday 02 June 2024, I was very reluctant to visit spur again. Of the 50+ visits I can’t even count on my hand the bad experiences I’ve had there, I’ve received very good service there over the years and life is all about second chances. This email is not about my bad experience, this email is about how the Spur Manager Khol, who went out of his way to rectify my bad experience to the most positive experience I’ve ever had at any Spur. To elaborate more. I visited Iowa spur on 24/06/2024 and I brought it to Khol’s attention that I am back, He immediately recognised from the incident of 02 June. Khol advised me that He personally will be my waiter, which was surprising because the restaurant was very busy. I can’t give enough accolades for the service, from the starter to the main meal everything was amazing. Each meal arrived within less than 5minutes from Him taking my order, the food was divine and plated with the utmost delicacy and precision. Basically, the standards were super high and better than expected. Khol and His team really deserve a special thanks, I am still shocked and amazed how special my experience was. My wife and I gloated that perhaps it’s because the manager is our waiter that we now have special treatment, but to be honest the other customer satisfaction was also very apparent because the great service was at every table I could see. In closing, Mr Khol is a great manager, someone with integrity and heart. Iowa Spur is very lucky to have someone like him. Can’t wait to visit Spur again BTW, my full meal was on the house courtesy from Mr Khol. Good day, I want to thank Iowa Spur and our waiter Shareef for the amazing food and service. Shareef was absolutely amazing. We did not wait long for our food, the serving of main course was perfectly timed after the starter, the food was delicious. My wife was indecisive about what to order and Shareef even took the time to tell us about the different specials that are being served on the evening and my Wife ended up ordering your schnitzel special which ended up being very delicious. Shareef was also able to split the mushroom and the cheese sauce after my wife asked him if it was possible in which he responded "definitely" without hesitation. He brought crayons and colouring paper for my daughter without us even having to ask him. At other spurs we would normally have to ask where as here at Iowa spur Shareef took initiative. Overall the experience was amazing and me and my Family would definitely come again because of the amazing service provided by Shareef
